About Me.
Hi! My name is Ballard Glenn Blair and I am an independent web-developer. I am currently a senior at Tufts University pursuing a degree in Computer Science. I love to cook, to think, and to go outside. I am currently following my curiosity and honing my skills in graphic design.
Portfolio.
On this project, I developed a web pressence for Valor Spirits, an up and coming spirits company. I met with the owners of the company and created a website for them using HTML & CSS and Bootstrap as a front-end framework. It was a great learning experience and a lil bit of whiskey doesn't hurt either!
Currently I am helping a photo-scanning company, ScanCafe, re-design their web pressence. I am trying to give ScanCafe a light and modern facelift. This project has made me think critically of how to present information to a user in a clean and clear way. Check out my current progress, by clicking the link!
For the final project for my Web Development class, my group created a fun, free-form question based game called QuestionQuail. I helped develop the backend portion of the app using MongoDB for server-side data persistence, Heroku, and NodeJS. We were able to create a multiplayer game for groups of friends that can play from their own devices and in their own homes.
Currently working on an art-sharing platform called Bird with talented artists from the Tufts University Community. Our goal is to create a web-app to connect and to showcase the amazing work of Tufts students for Tufts students. As one of the creative-minds behind the web portion of this project, I am working on creating inventive ways to showcase art on the web.
